NLP
Welcome to my place to put info.
First off, I have collected some documents on NLP, or neuro
linguistic programming from government pages (Thanks google!)
So here are the files
nlp docs
ngo
I am the developer of a program called ngo, ngo is an ncurses
IGS client. It is currently included in the Hikarunix distro.
I have stopped major development mainly because not a single
freaking user has contacted me, so I dont think anyone out there
is using it. I have some great ideas for patches to the client but
for now I am putting my energy in to other projects.
Here is the Freshmeat
page
CCC (Chaos Computer Congress)
I recently spoke at the CCC on how to herd cats, video of my
talk should be available soon. I am currently compiling a list
of links I used for sources, and thats what will be in this space
shortly. Until then check out the page
Wargames
My friend phar is currently working on a wargames server. So as to
effectively stress test the server I am announcing FREE SHELLS HACK
SPLOIT CRACK SCAN blah blah blah. user:testuser pass:testuser. Host

RTFM
Well, I think that's everything interesting that I haven't already
said in a previous version of this site. I hope to have some more
general info up on linux soon, seems like a lot of people just need
to know enough to RTFM effectively. I recently saw an interesting
program on bayesian models for learning I hope to put up a synopsis
of soon.
AHHHHH!
Okay, look, all you people discussing social, political, philosophical, sociological, and psychological issues. I believe is is now time to discuss semantics. Put simply, the words we all sort of assume we all know and agree on the meaning of, we don't. When you say democracy, you could mean many different things, and most probably other people will assume you mean one or two of those things. Sometimes words don't even represent "things", but rather ideas. Often people who spend significant amounts of time discussing technical issues get used to the idea that every word has a specific and universal "meaning" thhat everyone else can agree upon. Let me make this very clear... When you are discussing something you and whoever you are discussing with dont have a significant amount of schooling in you cann either define ammbiguous terms or risk saying nothing at all. Here is my favorite example. I tell you to put that on the table. In the room there is a plank of wood on 4 legs, a plank of wood on 6 legs, and a rock. Now, lets say you define a table as something you put things on. There are already things sitting on top of the rock and the plank of wood with 4 legs. Based on this definition, you can not tell which is "the" table. So when it comes to making the decision about what thing was meant you will probably compare each of the objects in the room against previous things that were referred to as tables in your experience. From this relative (to your past experiences) definition it becomes clear the rock is a rock being USED as a table (similarly to a desk, or a nightstand) while the plank of wood with 4 legs when looked at for things like height and size clearly based on your previous experiences could be used as a chair, but is currently being used as a table. Hence by elimination the plank of wood with 6 legs, being a large flat object too large to fit comfortably within your previous experiences of "chair" will probably be assumed to be the table, despite the fact it is the one thing in the room not being used as a table. Now most people will say, quite correctly, that it does not matter that our definitions and ways of defining things do not need to be perfectly matched. But this view is very wrong when it comes to discussing an issue, where each concept, each sentence, each word often is a conglomeration of any number of other implied concepts, things, feelings, and if any of those are not defined or agreed upon then the potential for misunderstanding and wasted communication exists. There is another point to all this that is bbasically about how the PROCESS of defining an issue can actually serve to explore the issue more deeply, but honestly I am not sure how to articulate this idea yet. I will figure it out, but I feel like I am gonna need more schooling honestly.
